Mary moved from Desborough to Market Harborough at the age of 8 . Leaving education at Welland Park High school at the age of 15 she started work at Market Harborough Rubber Company, leaving when she started her family. Mary is married with 3 grown up children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary had a varied working life prior to her retirement including work in private homes, factories, banks and residential homes. Mary is trained in First Aid, Food Hygiene, Safe Handling and what to do in a fire emergency. Living at Gartree, Mary takes particular interest in Council matters affecting residents in Welland Avenue and Stuart Crescent.
