FOOTPATH A24 AT AIRFIELD FARM LEICESTER ROAD MARKET HARBOROUGH

On 18th December 2019 Harborough District Council confirmed the above Order.

The diversion of the footpath shall come into effect when Leicestershire County Council certifies that the terms of Article 2 and Article 5 of the Public Path Diversion Order have been complied with

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the section of Footpath A24 at Airfield Farm, Leicester Road, Market Harborough shown as a bold black line on the order plan

(plan number 17132-CIV-SA-00-2454 - a copy of which is attached to this notice)

which extends from point A on the plan at grid reference 47237 28832 in a generally westerly direction for a distance of approximately 15 metres to point B on the plan at grid reference 47235 28832, then continues in a generally south-westerly direction for a further distance of approximately 22 metres to point C on the plan at grid reference 47234 28831, then continues in a generally north-westerly direction for a further distance of approximately 35 metres to point K on the plan at grid reference 47231 28833, then continues in a generally north-westerly direction for a further distance of approximately 22 metres to point D on the plan at grid reference 47230 28835, then continues in a generally north-westerly direction for a further distance of approximately 95 metres to point E on the plan at grid reference 47222 28840

and the section of Footpath A24 at Airfield Farm, Leicester Road, Market Harborough shown as a bold black line on the order plan which extends from point M on the plan at grid reference 47206 28852 in a generally north westerly direction for a distance of approximately 38 Metres to point N on the plan at grid reference 47203 28854 and replace with a new footpath (A24) at Airfield Farm, Leicester Road, Market Harborough as shown by bold black dashes on the order plan which will extend from point L on the plan at its junction with the Grand Union Canal towpath and at grid reference 47233 28833 in a generally westerly direction for a distance of approximately 25 metres to point K on the plan at grid reference 47231 28833, then continues in generally north-north-westerly and north-westerly directions for a further distance of approximately 75 metres to point J on the plan situate at grid reference 47227 28839, then continues in a generally south-westerly direction for a further distance of approximately 10 metres to point I on the plan at grid reference 47226 28838, then continues in a generally north-westerly direction for a further distance of approximately 50 metres to point E on the plan at its junction with the un-diverted section of Footpath A24 and at grid reference 47222 28840 and a new footpath (A24) at Airfield Farm, Leicester Road, Market Harborough as shown by bold black dashes on the order plan (plan number 17132-CIV-SA-00-2454) which will extend from point E on the plan at its junction with the un-diverted section of Footpath A24 and at grid reference 47222 28840 in generally south-westerly and south-easterly directions for a distance of approximately 50 metres to point G on the plan situate at grid reference 47225 28837, then continues in a generally south-westerly direction for a further distance of approximately 7 metres to point F on the plan at its junction with a new estate road footway and at grid reference 47224 28836, then continues in generally south-easterly, east-south-easterly and easterly directions along the footway and over a new canal bridge for a further distance of approximately 150 metres to a point approximately 5 metres south of point A (previously described) and A new footpath (A24) at Airfield Farm, Leicester Road, Market Harborough as shown by bold black dashes on the order plan (plan number 17132-CIV-SA-00-2454) which will extend from point M on the plan at grid reference 47206 28852 in a generally north westerly direction for a distance of approximately 38 Metres to point P on the plan at grid reference 47203 28854

A copy of the confirmed order and the order map may be seen free of charge at the Council Offices, Adam and Eve Street, Market Harborough LE16 7AG from 9am to 5pm on weekdays (9:30 am to 5pm Wednesdays). Copies of the order and order map may be purchased at the price of £15 by sending a cheque to Harborough District Council.

This Order comes into force on 18th December 2019 but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 and 8 of Schedule 14 to that Act.
